What to wear?
We ask that all performers wear black clothing. Clothes should be comfortable for movement and therefore we suggest black leggings or trousers and a t-shirt. If you have jazz shoes, these are preferable. However, trainers may be worn as another option. (No trainers with black soles please, as they mark the floor)
‘In the Wings’ t-shirts are also available to purchase.
What do I bring with me?
You may bring a snack and drink. However, water and squash will be provided during breaks. Please note: Due to nut allergies, we ask all performers not to bring nuts or nut products into the Academy.
First Aid
Our first aider will be on site at all times and will be available for any minor injuries and ailments. The first aider will contact home if there are concerns during the course and/or in the case of serious illness or injury. Performers should not carry any medication on them except for EpiPen’s and asthma inhalers. All other medication should be brought to a member of staff, with a note giving the first aider consent to administer it, and detailing any medication the student may have already taken that day.
Safeguarding
All performers must abide by all relevant regulations and policies of In the Wings, including the student codes of conduct and the equal opportunities policy. All performers must respect other people’s work and behave courteously towards members of the Academy’s community and staff. Care must be taken whilst in the venue, to ensure that there is no damage to the property or facilities, either wilfully or by neglect.
T- Shirts
‘In the Wings” t-shirts are available to purchase from the Academy. Should you wish to pre-order a t-shirt, please choose the size on the book now application form.
